You Are Here is likened to that of the art of cartography. Cartography is the practice of drawing maps. In the process of navigating cycles of self abandonment, practices are developed to not only allow you to remain anchored to your own soul’s truth that lives in the core of your being, but they also help you find your way back to your self when you’ve veered off course. When the seas of self abandonment have carried you adrift in their wake.

In this eight week program, you’ll create your own map that will help you navigate the waters of You and create practices that strengthen and maintain your sense of self. You will get to explore six different practices that will be essential in your navigation through the ebb and flow of your being and anchor you in to the space where you will always find your self over and over and over again - present moment embodied conscious awareness.

You will learn about the line that runs through you where that consciousness exists. The line that connects you to God, the Universe, and your Higher Self, that runs from the top of your head, down your spine and the core of your body, and connects you to the Earth. It is where you receive your messages that guide you. It is where you are the most You.

Because it’s important to know what “You” feels like energetically, an array of practices have been included so that you can find the ones that help you feel the most you, the ones that when you do them remind you “oh yes. that’s what i feel like. that is me. there i am.” You Are Here.

Throughout these eight weeks you’ll not only have the opportunity to journey with 5 other individuals but you’ll also receive a one on one session with Jenny every week. This will provide support for you as things come up naturally through out this process returning to self.

Unconscious belief systems, emotional patterns, stories, thought patterns, and more may undoubtedly reveal themselves as we move through this territory and these one on one session will be a space holder and container for you to sift through what works for you and what doesn’t anymore. It will be a space for you to deepen your awareness of and trust in your intuition and build upon understandings and gifts that already exist within you. It will also be a space for you to discover how you can move forward and create what you want (a lifestyle, business, relationships, etc) around the truths that are uncovered through this eight week exploration.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN

WEEK 1 | WRITING

JANUARY 7 - JANUARY 13

We are constantly telling stories about our selves. We tell these stories by the words we speak, the way we live our lives, and the patterns that we repeat. Research shows that 95% of those stories we are telling completely subconsciously, meaning 95% percent of the time we are moving through our lives and interacting in relationships and creating our lives based on the conditioning that we’re mostly unaware of that was modeled to us as children.

This week we will focus on using writing as a tool for uncovering these stories. Research shows that writing helps the brain create new neuropathways. So as we uncover unconscious belief systems, the stories that have dictated our lives, will also practice writing what we WANT to believe in order to strengthen the new neuropathways we created by choosing the new stories, new behaviors, new beliefs, new patterns.

We will also explore different writing techniques. Not only will we explore using writing as stated above, but we will also briefly explore Morning Pages, as well as using writing as a way to connect and have conversations with God, the Universe, and your Guides.

You willl need a journal and your favorite pen.

WEEK 2 | MEDITATION

JANUARY 14 - JANUARY 20

To build a sense of self, it is important to familiarize your self with what You, your energy, feels like. It is in meditation we can become acquainted with the nuances of our energy as we sit in stillness and in silence and bring awareness to focusing on our selves. It is where we can practice sensing our core and the energy that runs through it.

Meditation gets a bad wrap. It is often thought that meditation has to be experienced in a certain way, that thoughts are not allowed during meditation, that we must adhere to techniques and rules and that if we haven’t achieved a zen-like state, we’ve failed. It is one of the practices that people feel most resistant to in Jenny’s experience with clients.

Not only is meditation a great practice in returning to self, research shows that having a consistent meditation practice strengthens the immune system and the body’s ability to heal itself, and has a positive affect on anxiety, depression, fear, and anger.

This week we will engage in meditation with curiosity. Participants will get to experience a group meditation and engage in discussion about the experience as well as their overall experience of meditation itself. What worked for them, what didn’t, what stops them from meditating, and what they often struggle with. This will be a safe, nonjudgemental space for participants to explore what meditation can be for them and walk a way with a renewed sense of purpose for the practice.

WEEK 3 | ENERGY BASICS pt. 1

JANUARY 21 - JANUARY 27

We're taught the basics of many things in life, from please and thank you to numbers and ABCs, but many of us aren't taught to responsibly use our energy. When stressed, you might withdraw, acquiesce, manipulate or dominate, consciously and unconsciously.

Good energy basics allow you to stay grounded in reality, centered and strong in self, they help you stay focused and clear, and they help you tune in to your body and psyche with more ease rather than enter into patterns that can be detrimental to yourself or relationships with others.

In this two part series, you'll gain an understanding of energy practices that will influence your mental health, physical health, emotions and boundaries in a profound way. Kara McNabb will lead you through interacting with each of the five basics through understanding, personal exploration and experiential practice.

WEEK 4 | ENERGY BASICS pt. 2

JANUARY 28 - FEBRUARY 3

WEEK 5 | MOVEMENT

FEBRUARY 4 - FEBRUARY 10

Everything around us, within us, and everything that IS us has the potential to offer us a new awareness of who we are, who we want to be, how we show up, and what's getting in our way. We are always reacting and responding. We are always moving, in some way, in response to something.

Movement therapy offers opportunity for insight, mental and emotional processing, observing your own patterning, and gaining a deeper understanding of how you respond to your body’s internal cues, sensations, and needs. Movement can also be a valuable tool for self regulation, and intuitively following your body’s cues can assist in processing and integrating old energy held in the body from traumatic experiences.

As we build a presence practice, it’s important to incorporate the body as part of being present is being embodied. The more embodied we are, the more we have access to the self in presence and the safer we feel being here.

This week participants will take a deep dive in to the body and explore using movement as a way to be with their selves in presence. During the group session, Jenny will not only guide participants through different aspects of movement as it relates to awareness, but she will also lead participants through a short intuitive movement exercise. Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss their noticing and will spend the week exploring different movement practices to discover what works for them.

WEEK 6 | ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

FEBRUARY 11 - FEBRUARY 17

“Asking questions, it’s a way of explaining. Go with it.” -TV show 'Devs'

We are on autopilot 95% of the time, living our lives based on programming we learned from our caregivers growing up, especially between 0-7 years of age. That means we are only consciously aware  5% of our lives if we don’t have some sort of awareness or presence practice.

There is so much happening in the subconscious mind. And yet, human often rest on the surface of things- the 5%. We often aren’t taught critical thinking skills necessary to build our own belief systems or how to question the reality or environment we grow up in because our society has been built upon rules, regulations, and expectations that all teach us to fall in line. Often this way of living causes suffering at some point in our lives because we are not honoring our own authentic purpose and denies. When that suffering strikes, we aren’t taught to ask things like:

What does this feel like? Why do I think this way? Where does this thought come from? Why do I subscribe to this thought? Does it work for me? Do I want to continuing thinking it as my own? What do I want to believe instead? etc.

This week we will explore how to ask the right questions to get to the root of conflict, suffering, feelings of stuckness, relational patters, and other roadblocks we encounter. Participants will learn how to get curious about their experience and their selves and uncover unconscious belief systems that are no longer working for them. They will walk away with the skill set for creating deep, lasting change and foster more awareness and intention in their lives.

WEEK 7 | SELF PORTRAITURE AS A TALISMAN

FEBRUARY 18 - FEBRUARY 24

The body is our home. It is where our spirit lives and where we develop and feel our sense of self. It is through our body that we experience presence.

This week features guest teacher Sarah Hunt, LLMSW where she will lead participants in exploring their relationship to their body. Participants will learn about how self portraiture can be a valuable tool in healing the relationship to the body, as well as a practice in witnessing and measuring where we're at, who we are, and who we want to become.

Participants will get to hear Sarah's journey with self portraiture and walk away with new skills for using portraiture as a tool for self development. Participants will be asked to practice self portraiture on their own this week and, if they feel comfortable, share during Week 8.

You will need a camera or phone with a camera built in.

WEEK 8 | Bringing It All Together

FEBRUARY 25 - MARCH 3

This week allows for practice, group coaching, and celebration. Participants are free to also share their self portraiture this week, as well as any other takeaways, revelations, moments of clarity, intentions moving forward, any remaining questions, and any other closing statements they feel they’d like to make.

“Every time I have a session with Jenny I feel like I go back in to my life looking through a new lense.” -Sarah Joy

"Jenny brought me home to myself. After many years of physical issues, high anxiety, and a year of traditional therapy, I found myself in her office. After four years of working with her, I feel the most at home with myself than I have in years. My physical symptoms have improved, my anxiety has improved, and I’ve changed my life inside and out in the best direction under her guidance. If this is where I’ve gotten in four years, I can only imagine where I’ll be as I continue to work with her. I wholeheartedly recommend her practice and I know she will help you discover the heart of your pain and the path back home to yourself." -Leah Copeland
